Goodbye oven, hello storage!

Since we have used the propane oven maybe 5-10 times in the past 5 years, and the stove top only accommodates one pan at a time, I have been wanting to get rid of it for awhile. I finally had a down week, and decided to add that to a list along with some other projects to accomplish.

The waste of space, before.

And after.

I custom cut a piece of wood to fill in the gap, giving one flat counter.

Now we add drawers. I used full extension soft close sliders.

Now let’s fill the drawers with large kitchen items I want easy access to.

Flat items, like the induction cooktop in this drawer. Using the heavy duty slides, I could use it in this position if I wanted.

Or I can cover the drawer with this cutting board and make more work space.

Bottom drawer gets taller items, like the Instant Pot and water kettle.

I then added a door to keep everything neat and tidy.
